Gate 19
About Gate 19
Gate 19 carries the pressure of need and wanting — the Root gate of deep sensitivity to insufficiency in the tribal field. This gate feels, at a cellular level, when someone or something needs sustenance, care, or resources, and is compelled to respond. Ra Uru Hu described Gate 19 as the Root's sensitivity to the needs of the tribe: an acute awareness of what is missing, combined with the pressure to ensure those needs are met. Gate 19 belongs to the Tribal Circuit (Defense sub-circuit) and carries Timeless frequency. It forms the Channel of Synthesis (19-49) with Gate 49 (Revolution) in the Solar Plexus Center. Gate 49 makes principled decisions about who receives tribal nourishment; Gate 19 provides the sensitivity that informs those decisions. Together they create the channel governing who belongs in the tribe and what conditions must be met for continued membership and care. Defined — With Gate 19 defined, there is a consistent and refined sensitivity to the needs of others. Environments of unmet need can be genuinely overwhelming; the wisdom is distinguishing needs one is genuinely called to meet from those that belong to others. Undefined — With Gate 19 open, the person is deeply conditioned by the wanting and needing patterns of others. The not-self pattern is feeling perpetually insufficient — more belonging, more security — without recognizing how much of that desire is absorbed.
